Large native shrub, free-flowering in soft yellow, and loved by birds, especially lorikeets. Underplant with Gold Rush and Canterbury Gold for multi-layered yellow grevilleas. A brighter version of the very popular Honey Gem.
Grevillea ‘Yamba Sunshine’
APPEARANCE:Â Large tree-shrub grevillea with ferny foliage and abundant classic large spider flowers in soft yellow. Similar to Honey Gem, which has more orangey flowers.
USE FOR : Â Feature planting, native gardens. Native birds absolutely love it, ideal for wildlife.
CLIMATE: Tolerates dry periods once established.
PLANTING:Â Plant in a full sun location for maximum flowering. Prefers free draining soil. Tolerates light shade.
CARE:Â Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Prune after flowering to promote flowering, dense habit and control growth. A hard prune each 3-4 years will result in a fresh flush of flowers and foliage. Â Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form – grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:Â 3-4m H x 2-3m W.
YOUR PLANTS:Â These are tubestock plants, young healthy plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
